WHAT I DO

UX DESIGN

makes the user experience as pleasant and successful as possible.
user analysis, groups & personas - customer decision journey - product strategy & structure - gamification - sitemap - MVP definition - wireframing - QA ...

UI DESIGN

makes the product look awesome and creates a great and accessible experience within a brand universe.
design concept, draft, prototype, final visual design - graphics & imagery - responsive design - modular designs for Headless CMS - developer handover & prep for coding - UI review, QA ...

DESign systems

structure all styles and UI components in one central catalogue and make them fully reusable and interconnected.
Responsive type scales - color palettes - spacing, effects, grid - iconography - atoms, molecules & components, variable-based module catalogues for multi-brand-universes ...

UX Research

helps understand what users need and want.
Usability testing - interviews - product analysis - problem & potential analysis & quick win identification - QA ...

THE TOOLS I USE

Figma

Figma

The one and only. State of the art UX/UI Design tool with its extensive plugin landscape and permanent updates
Adobe Suite

Adobe suite

Happy to use Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop etc. for some additional graphic design. Yearlong experience from my classical graphic design times
Webflow

Webflow

My new revelation. Creating stunning websites from scratch to launch without a dev team is amazing for small and midsized projects.
brain

Structured brain & critical thinking

maybe one of the most crucial skills. Keeping an eye on the whole process, not losing sight of overall goals and timelines, good (self-)organization and dicipline
communication

Clear communication

I can communicate well with and understand developers, project managers, designers and clients and often see myself as an interpreter between the crafts. Warning: I rate honesty higher than diplomacy. I’m fluent in German, English, Spanish and Italian
curiosity

Curiosity

For every new project I need to become an expert in topics that I have never considered before or didn’t even know of. Curiosity and openness drive success, again and again.
chat gpt

AI

They say, AI won’t substitute designers, but designers who use AI will substitute those who don’t. So I do, and I love it.
code

HTML/CSS

I cannot write clean code from scratch, because I’m not a developer. But I can read it, understand most of it and mess around with it to test things out.
xd invision sketch

XD / Sketch / Invision

are terribly outdated by now and I will not use them unless forced to. But I can help with the transition to the state of the art

WHERE I've learned it

since 2019

UX/UI Designer at port4

port4 creative agency, Germany

started as a classic graphic designer and developed quickly into my current position as UX/UI Designer
since 2017

Freelance Graphic and UX/UI Designer

Clients between Germany and Spain

maintaining my favourite clients and keeping myself fresh in the classical design department but mainly focused on my employed work
2019

Masters in digital graphic design

Universidad Internacional de La Rioja

including usability and user experience. With my research focus on generative design, thinking about artificial intelligence before OpenAI or Midjourney entered the market.
2017

GradO Superior in Graphic Design

Usandizaga, San Sebastián

filling my toolbox with all the conceptual and practical classic graphic design skills
2015

Bachelor of science in Psychology

University of Saarland

digging deep into understanding the human mind. With cognitive ergonomics and human-machine interaction being one of my favourite subjects.
Always

Keeping myself up to date

Anywhere

tutorials, conferences, new technologies and tools, interdisciplinary knowledge exchange with colleagues...

WHAT kind of person I am

By now you’ve probably gotten the professional lowdown on me, so you might be wondering what I’m up to in my free time:

I love the outdoors, traveling and a bit of adventure. I love long distance hiking, I am a bit of an ultralight freak, I climb, run, bike, swim and try to spend as much of my free time as possible under an open sky. But I also play the saxophone, illustrate, photograph, paint and have a passion for languages and tea.
